HMS Belfast

This dame served during WWII and played a major role in Normandy landing. It has since being decommissioned and moored permanantly along the south bank of Thames to serve as a museum allowing visitors to experience how 'WWII sailors living and operating conditions'. Cost 6 quid per adult. Actually wanted to pay it a visit when we first arrive, but somehow just didn't happen. Will defnitely drop by one of the weekends.

Notice that the battleship is named after the capital of North Ireland, Belfast. Can you imagine having our ships named after... say... Ang Mo Kio? Hmm... it just doesn't cut ice. But than again, names like Endurance sounds a little tad bland. :P
