The Waterloo...

Well, since this post is up, you must assume that I am still high and dry. You got that right. Hmm... the weatherman urged us to 'make full use of today' as tomorrow will be a wet day... as well as the rest of the week. I notice that Londoners are rather pessemistic about the weather. When I greeted the newspaper agent,'Nice weather today!' The reply was, 'Yep, but for how long...?' Oh well...

Took the opportunity to stroll down Waterloo Bridge one evening. Actually was telling Wife that of this restaurant with rave reviews in Waterloo area but ended up losing my way... very paiseh.. dragging her along and all. She did take it rather gracefully though.

Well, there we were trying to make do and cross over to the north bank of River Thames on Waterloo Bridge, one of the major ones connecting the north and south banks of Thames. The saying goes that with Thames as the reference, the north is better than the south and the west is better than the east. Hmm... one can sense the change in demographics when crossing the river... it's rather obvious actually.

The picture above was taken at the Royal Theatre on the southern bank. It was apparently during an intermission when the audience came out for a breath of fresh air... and some wine. I did a double take on the figure on the roof... and realise that it's just an art installation. In fact, these figures can be spotted on the roofs of the surrounding buildings... reminds me of the one on the roof top terrace at Vivo City... the one doing the swing. Hmm...
