Halloween...

Tonight will be the first night of halloween celebrations. In fact celebrations has started a few days back. I've grown accustomed to sitting next to a ghoul on the train. There were a couple of vampires and even mummies that lingered the streets once darkness fall. Believe me... they look as real as it gets... the only indication that that they were not the real deal was that they'll be swigging their beer as they sing along the streets.

That'll be pretty funny if not for the mischief that comes together. The news reported that there was a guy wearing a ghost costume caught (by CCTV) throwing a lighted firecracker into a convenient store. The shop would probably be burnt down if not for the owner who kicked it out in the nick of time. What made it worse was that the owner's baby was in the shop at that point in time.

Now... what's the big deal about firecracker, yah? It's heck of a deal. Imagine this. The firecrackers sold in Saintsbury (huge local convenient store) has a tag which says...

"This device has only 112 shots and not 120 shots as advertised." Whew... luckily it's JUST 112 shots.... To put some perspective into the whole issue, each shot is designed to fire a few storeys high into the sky and expode into a sizable sparkle. Having one of that is like a mini fireworks display! Now, imagine having it being thrown into your house from the streets...
