S'pore's bid for Youth Olympics 2010

Chanced upon the video clip made by Youth Empire for Singapore's bid for Youth Olympics 2010 on S'pore's Entrepreneurs. MDA should really take a leaf out of Youth Empire's book. THIS is how a video clip should be done.

Unlike Entrepreneur who refuses to link to MDA's clip, I've posted it on my blog sometime back. I believe in the free flow of information(!). For those who want to relive the horror... here it is. Warning... not for the fainthearted.

I'm all for this! Singapore needs a boost in their sporting arena. Granted, the recent emergence of the NBL in the form of the Singapore Slingers is a step in the right direction, the acceptance of regular sporting events is catching on slowly. At least in American society, the chance to watch your favorite athlete perform only makes you want to go out and play the sport that much more.

No, no, no, not the video again! I am going to have nightmares of supermen civil servants dancing badly again ... sigh, and I just recovered.

Thanks the your very encouraging comment. Singapore is not exacly known in the sporting arena so hopefully hosting the Youth Olympics will motivate our young sportsmen (and women) to make a bid for the Olympics itself. :)

@bonoriau
Hey, thank YOU for your link. It seems that you have a huge list of blog under your name. How do you find the time to update them? :p

@entrepreneur
Haha... I couldn't bring myself to look at that (MDA clip) as well. Didn't even finish it the first time round. Couldn't clear the blood from my eyes fast enough...

I lived in Singapore for a few months. It's a great place to live. For Olympic games... not sure if there's enough room in the city for such an event. Unless they plan to annex Batam, or something? ;-)

@Rudy
lol... Batam is more the half the size of Singapore. THAT'll sure make a difference. Am under the impression that the entire Sentosa will be turned into Youth Olympic village. Then again, the Youth version is much smaller than the one in Beijing this year.

@kyh
Hey, thank! Was keeping my fingers crossed the whole time. Well, just hop across the causeway to catch the action! I'm sure there'll be loads of Malaysian sportspeople in the competition as well.
