Very lazy indeed...

For some reason, garlic features in quite abit of our cooking in London. Well, we survived on hawker centres, food courts and the good o' maggi mee (instant noodles) back home.

Initially we tried to get cloves and go through all the whole process of cutting the garlic down to bits. Gave up after awhile due to the hassle; both Wife and I are not very good with the knife :p

Anyway, came across Very Lazy garlic, which is sold at 1.54 pounds in Tesco. Have been using it (sparingly) ever since. It's not that there's no similar stuff sold in Singapore. In fact, NTUC sells them in a much larger (and cheaper) packs. But Very Lazy is preserved in vinegar and that extends the garlic's shelf life by lots.

Very Lazy garlic for the very lazy people indeed!

hahahah I love using garlic, but I wouldn't ever use that I don't think. There's nothing like using freshly cut ingredients. And you can always use the stainless steel stone to wash the smell off your hands!

I love garlics, I mean fresh or fried ones, but not preserved. I hate pickled food, esp ones that r soaked in vinegar!

Ewwww .... I would ask you to get a maid rather than use lazy garlic. ;)

I always thought it was "lazy" because it was mild in flavour.

Count me in. I am a lazy cook, and I vow this is one great invention of the modern world! :)

Garlic is an excellent stuff, no doubt about that. About the English cousinee - I did not hear a lot of nice things about it, but your point is a very interesting one.
