Sex has reached London

London is noticeably hotter than the already ridiculous 27 degrees Celsius this afternoon with Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) and her buddies gracing Sex and the City's worldwide premier in London today.

After getting brickbats from the American audience for snubbing New York, the very city that the show is set in, and choosing London instead for its premier, other bad press seemed to plague Sex and the City.

SJP is reputedly to have fell out with the rest of the main cast for pushing hers to be the face for the movie. The show was also delayed for 2 years as Kim Cattrall was pushing to have the same wages as SJP.

But looking at the crowds (not in the picture taken above) that swamped Leceister Square, the Sex is still very much alive in the City.

I'm so jealous! How I wish I was still living in Ireland so I could go over to London for this Premiere!!

Flying over from Ireland for the premier? Haha, you must be one of those who has got all six series in DVDs at home!

I, on the other hand, couldn't really figure out the show. It seems like four seemingly successful women who didn't really know what they want...

Ah! I doubt Malaysia would show this movie... Even the series are only available on satellite TV!

And 27 degrees is so much better than the swelling 31-34 degrees here!

I had to resort to download it from Limewire back in Singapore.

Anyway, not very used to 27C even. I'm getting spoilt aren't I? :)

Oh no.. what did horse-face Parker do this time? I thought that series is so for the desperate housewives. *Yawn* Come on none of the cast is even gorgeous? They are merely desperate..Duh...

@sher,
I have absolutely no inking on why people seem to think that Parker is attractive.... her character is at best... neurotic.

But hey, the hundreds lining up for the premier obviously think otherwise.

I loved watching the series and I might go to see the film, maybe.

Or I might wait till it comes out on DVD as I hate cinema prices!

Hmm... I would think Iron Man, with all its special effects, is more worth the 9.45 quid (for Vue).

Reserve that for DVD, so that you can watch it snuggling up in your sofa!

Hey I usually catch my movies down in Croydon! Way cheaper than in London!

@sher,
How much it is over there? I live in Islington, not sure wheth it's worth the fare to Croydon...

But thanks for the tip!

I wish I was there... not just to see Sex and the City but also just be in the cold wearing a nice winter outfit. I can only dream!
