Winter Wonderland - London's Hyde Park
Unlike many Christmas markets on continental Europe that focus on stalls selling crafts, local delicacies and mull wines of a variety of flavours. London's main Christmas market in Hyde Park is filled with theme rides.
From the giant Ferris wheel to the slide and from the roller coaster to kiddy train rides and haunted houses, not to mention having the largest ice skating rink in London.
Thirsty after an evening of fun? Go on down to the numerous stalls peddling mull wine and beer, and hanker down with your mates with a mug in one hand and a bratwurst in another.
Time for some Christmas cheer!

Thanks for sharing this. I'm planning to be there on Sunday with my granddaughter.
How fun! My son who was peeping from my shoulder asked if we can go tomorrow! HA-HA! I wish! LOL!
I absolutely love rides! The place looks so bright and colourful.. Would be a fun place to enjoy the night.. =)
Oh wow, fun! Definitely not a Lapland New Forest attraction is it? ;)
That looks like a blast!
that looks like a lot of fun! nice! I love the ferris wheel!
@jakill,
Great! Try going there after dark. Somehow, the atmosphere feels much better then.
@Shemah,
lol, glad that your son appreciate those photos. But then again, as a kid, all theme parks look the same to me anyway.
@all,
I wonder whether I'm the only one. I get a feeling that the cold temperature actually improve the experience.... making it more magical (for the lack of a better word).
What do you think?
We hv similar events twice a year in our town. We hv never tried the rides, just went there for the typical carnival snacks which we don't usually get from the main stream shops.
On the whole, carnival fair is great entertainment. Do we hv such fairs in Sg during CNY ?
Oh looks like great fun! The fair rides here (in Switzerland) happens in Autumn - most big towns/cities have an Autumn fair which has all the local businesses and then the rides & even petting zoo & sometimes sports/farmers events as well.
Do we have to pay entrance fee to the park and for every ride?
Seems like Chriatmas has gone up another gear in the UK. Look more like an American environment - 'Fun' is the key word it seems.
