Brilliant solution for Tube congestion

The last couple of days have seen temperature in London hitting the mid 20s. Saw this sign in a Tube station while trying to squeeze into a train packed to the till in the sweltering summer heat yesterday. Why didn't anyone think of this before? I mean, this is absolutely brilliant.

Heck, that effectively double the seating capacity! I definitely would not mind, provided that I am not the one being sat on of course.

Well, there are talks about a 48hr strike in the entire Tube network in the next few weeks. Am not looking forward to that.

I read about signs like that on the Going Underground blog. Does anyone know how they get there - do TFL really have a sense of humour???

Hmm... considering I just recently read this entry at FML, I certainly wouldn't want to have anything to do with any stranger's lap in any sort of public transportation!

My God, are you serious? That is so perverse. But hey, next time I see a cute guy on the Tube, and there are no seats, I will demand that he lets me sit on his lap, hahahahaha.

Hold that thought n hv a private laugh with urself - it would make the journey in a packed train less tedious !

You do realise that with the temperature increasing, the last thing you want is for capacity on the Tube to be doubled? All that sweat and heat. Ugh.

I think it is a good idea if the person sitting on my lap, is a slim, pretty and sexy looking lady.I think this idea has got a lot of potential...
