Light snow in London - fingers' crossed

Snow+in+London+Christmas+Singaporean+in+LondonA light dust of snow hits Central London last night and I was wild with joy. But nope, I wasn't snowed in this morning. No such luck. Decked in my trusty North Face, synthetic leather gloves and ear mufflers, I stepped out into the cold and nearly slipped.

Great. Barely any snow with frozen pavement. Life just isn't fair, is it?

It was reported that London will be hit with 'inches' of snow tonight. I'm not too sure about that now. Looking at it, the snow might just fall over the English Channel instead, assuming snow does fall over water in the first place.

Whatever it is, I know we'll all enjoy ourselves one way or another this Christmas. Here's wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Cheers,
C K - A Singaporean in London

Does London get snow often? Seems like those unexpected places are getting snow lately. Is that a result of global warming/climatic change?

Same here. =/
It's incredibly cold, but the bit of snow that has fallen so far is not worth speaking of.
Where are the times when we could build igloos and snowmen?! =(
I'm still dreaming of a white christmas tho.("Just like the ones I used to know..." hahahaha)

Have a Merry Christmas too!! =)

Snow will arrive in London tonight, believe me, I called a friend that is living in London, yesterday he told me that according to his arm (he can feel sun, rain and snow from there, he has like a 6th sense)in the next days the snow will arrive and he is always right.

@kyh,
Central London rarely gets snow. At most, there would be a couple of days per year where there is any significant snow. Even then, the time at which snow falls is uncertain.

The betting houses over here are even taking bets on whether there would be snow on Christmas!

@Aidyl,
I heard that there will be a cold snap over the New Year. Got loads of DVDs to catch up so no big issue there. lol.

I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and here's wishing you a Happy New Year!

@aTravelAroundtheWorld,
Hey, thanks for stopping by! Heheh, I wasn't in London during Christmas so was your pal right?

And a Happy New Year.

Bets on whether it'll snow on Christmas? Did you bet too? :D
