Street parties are always welcomed especially when the sun is out. The sun has been out for the last couple of days and in London, that's a big deal even in summer.
For those who work or live near the Barbican, you probably know that there is a street market with food stalls along Whitecross Street on Thursdays and Fridays afternoons, a delight to lunch seekers. But for just two weekend afternoons (21st and 22nd July), there would be more street food as well as craft stalls lining Whitecross Street. Not only that, the Whitecross Street Party titled the "Rise of the Non Conformist" featuring London's most creative living non-conformist artists will be displaying their works all at stretch of road between Golden Lane Campus and Old Street.
With loads of activities including musical and dance performances by LSO St Luke's and Sadlers Wells, poetry recitals, kite flying, jamming session, grafitti artists at work, and even a retro photo booth, Whitecross Street Party promises one heck of a family outing. Me? I'm just happy that my favourite satay stall Puji Puji has set up stall there as well.

Tell you what, Sunday's weather going to be a balmy 21C in London. Stay late in bed, skip your breakfast and head down to Whitecross Street Party on Sunday for brunch. The party will last till 6pm on Sunday 22nd Jul.
